Legal testing is used to help facilitate child support issues and for immigration proceedings. Our Maximum Protection Legal DNA Paternity Test is designed to meet the requirements necessary for the test results to be used as solid proof of paternity or non-paternity in a court of law. The test does not need to be court ordered - you or your lawyer can order it, and NO doctor's prescription is needed (see note regarding New York State below). Our laboratory and collection personnel will follow strict requirements to ensure a strict chain of custody and correct identification procedures.

In order for the results to be accepted by the courts, the collection must be performed by one of our health care professionals. The appointment will take place at one of our nationwide test centers. In many locations, we also have mobile personnel who can come to your home and perform the collection there. We will arrange an appointment at a place and time that is convenient for you.

The test collection consists of a soft swab which is rubbed along the inside of the cheek. The skin cells of the check are painlessly collected on the swab. Because every cell in the body contains DNA, this is all that is needed to conduct a reliable test. No blood is required and no needles are used.

It is best if the Mother, Child and Alleged Father are available for the collection. However, they do not need to be present at the same time, or even in the same city. We have collection sites located throughout the United States and will find a convenient site for you. If you prefer, one our certified personnel can come to your home by appointment and perform the collection in the comfort of your home. If the Mother is not available, we can perform the paternity test by collecting samples from the child and the alleged father only. To keep our prices low as possible, the collection fee is not included in the Legal Paternity Testing fee and is typically between $25.00 - $35.00 per person.

We use a patented system, which was developed specifically for DNA paternity testing, and is the most advanced and powerful method available today, with results accepted by courts in the U.S. and abroad. Using this technology, if the DNA of the Alleged Father and Child matches, the probability that he is the biological father is typically over 99.999%. Conversely, if there are mismatches between the DNA of an Alleged Father and Child, he is 100% excluded from being the biological father.
